Back in November 2022, the renowned German high-end HiFi manufacturer T+A elektroakustik GmbH & Co. KG launched the T+A Solitaire T Active Noise Cancelling Headphones, a solution that the company described as an audiophile companion in all situations, as headphones that can be used as flexibly as possible and that impress even users with the highest demands with their outstanding sound quality.
T+A elektroakustik GmbH & Co. KG presents the new T+A Solitaire T Cognac White, a pair of headphones based on the technology of the aforementioned T+A Solitaire T, but with a new design.
Headphones with audiophile virtues
Just like the T+A Solitaire T, the new T+A Solitaire T Cognac White also utilises a 42 mm diameter driver based on a special cellulose diaphragm which, thanks to its rigidity and low weight, offers such a short response time and dynamics without breaking up into its own modes at an early stage. This lays the foundation for a particularly accurate performance.
In addition, the headphones have an optimised low bass system, guaranteeing a reproduction of airy highs and clear mids as well as a concise, powerful but never aggressive reproduction in the lowest frequency range.
Although the headphones can also be operated purely passively via a 3,5 mm stereo mini jack and also via 6,3 mm stereo jack and 4,4 mm Pentaconn using an adapter, there is no need to fear any loss of quality even in active operation, as the developers rely solely on the highest quality components, according to the manufacturer’s promise.
The centrepiece of the signal processing is therefore a QCC 5127 chip from the specialist Qualcomm Inc. and a converter from ESS Technology Inc. namely an ESS ES9218 Sabre DAC.
The T+A Solitaire T Cognac White therefore relies on Bluetooth 5.1 and supports the Bluetooth profiles A2DP, AVRCP, HSP and HFP, it can rely on the audio codecs SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX HD, and thus achieves a frequency range between 4 Hz and 22 kHz.
It should also be mentioned that the also has a USB-C interface, which is not only used to charge the integrated battery, but can also be used as a digital interface for connecting to source devices.
Regardless of how you operate the T+A Solitaire T Cognac White, it should ensure uninterrupted music enjoyment thanks to particularly good passive noise cancellation and active noise cancellation that can be switched on if required. Of course, the T+A Solitaire T Cognac White can also be used as a hands-free device.
New design concept
As already mentioned, the only difference between the new T+A Solitaire T Cognac White and the T+A Solitaire T is the new design. For example, the headband is no longer monochrome, but has a bi-colour finish in brown and white.

Naturally, a new transport case is also available for the T+A Solitaire T Cognac White, which is made from animal-free leather and picks up on the cognac colour of the headband.
