NAD Masters M33 BluOS Streaming DAC Amplifier and NAD T 778 AV Surround Sound Receiver Roon-ready
With immediate effect, the two systems NAD Masters M33 BluOS Streaming DAC Amplifier and NAD T 778 AV Surround Receiver are also designated as Roon-ready. With this, NAD Electronics closes the last gaps in its broad product range.
The streaming platform BluOS from the Lenbrook Group has been designated as Roon-ready for years, so not only the systems from Bluesound, but also many systems from NAD Electronics that are based on it. Now this also applies to the NAD Masters M33 BluOS Streaming DAC Amplifier and NAD T 778 AV Surround Sound Receiver solutions.
For products such as the NAD Masters M12 Digital Preamp DAC, to name just one example, NAD Electronics uses an optional BluOS module, the NAD DD BluOS 2i MDC Upgrade Module, which essentially corresponds to a stand-alone BluOS device. The situation is different with products such as the NAD Masters M10 BluOS Streaming Amplifier, where BluOS is much more deeply interwoven into the system.
A few gaps had to be closed
As a result of the stricter requirements of Roon Labs LLC. with regard to the certification of partner solutions, the complete product range from Bluesound as well as many solutions from NAD Electronics were seamlessly Roon-ready, but some NAD systems were no longer.
NAD Masters M10 BluOS Streaming Amplifier and NAD Masters M33 BluOS Streaming DAC Amplifier
In the last few weeks, NAD Electronics has of course gradually made improvements and has been able to certify one product or another as fully Roon-ready. This was very important for the aforementioned NAD Masters M10 BluOS Streaming Amplifier, which is already Roon-ready, as is its big brother, the NAD Masters M33 BluOS Streaming DAC Amplifier. This amplifier now also has the Roon-tested certificate, which means that it guarantees bit-perfect playback in its function as a D/A converter directly on a PC or Mac via Roon.
NAD T 778 AV Surround Sound Receiver
Another essential component that now appears on the list of systems certified as Roon-ready is the flagship AV receiver, the NAD T 778 AV Surround Sound Receiver. This system is particularly exciting because it also offers music streaming via BluOS in surround and thus recordings in a particularly exciting form. The Norwegian label 2L, for example, offers interesting albums here.
BluOS from Classic Stereo to AV and Custom Installation
The list of Roon-ready certified devices from NAD Electronics is now truly remarkable; no less than 21 products can be listed here. The spectrum ranges from solutions of the NAD Classic Series and the NAD Masters Series to AV receivers and custom installation solutions.
Getting to the point
Even if there is a direct relationship between NAD Electronics and the software company BluOS via the joint parent company Lenbrook Group, there were at least a few gaps in the certification for Roon from Roon Labs LLC. at NAD Electronics, which have now all been closed. NAD Electronics now has 21 devices that are Roon-ready.
